Save the Date: E-Bike World Championships for everyone in Paznaun-Ischgl

World championship title to be awarded in Ischgl: When the E-Bike World Championship for everyone takes place in Ischgl for the 4th time from September 5th to 7th, 2024, a world championship title will be within reach for professional athletes and casual cyclists aged ten and over. The rules of the world’s largest e-bike race, confirmed by Guinness World Records since 2023, are simple: “While the fastest biker is crowned world champion in the ‘Elite’ category, the participants in the ‘Everyman’ category compete against three riding time limits (gold, silver and bronze). If they fall below one of the three defined limits, the e-bikers receive an official Everyone World Championship gold, silver or bronze medal,” explains Dr. Markus Mitterdorfer (E-Bike World Federation). Anyone who falls below the set gold limit can call themselves world champion. In addition to the medal achieved in the “Everyman” category or the overall ranking achieved in the “Elite” category, the best in each age group will be awarded according to gender and category. Highlight: The e-bike fox hunt on the Idalp. All commercially available e-mountain bikes (pedelecs) with pedal assistance up to a maximum of 25 km/h and a maximum rated continuous output of 250 watts are permitted to take part in the race. In the “Elite” category, a maximum torque of the e-bike motor of 90 Nm is permitted. The bike check before the start is mandatory. Anyone who does not have their own e-bike can rent one on site for a fee. It is also possible to book a rental e-bike for two days. You can read more details in the current eMove 360° magazine in german language.
