Reev: Successful Series A financing round

reev, the software provider for smart charging solutions in semi-public spaces, announces the completion of its Series A financing round of ten million euros. The financing round was led by Future Energy Ventures, the venture capital fund with participation from leading energy companies such as E.ON, and Blue Earth Capital, a specialized global impact investor. They join existing investors, including the German energy supplier N-ERGIE.

The intelligent reev software for managing charging stations is already being used by almost 6,000 customers, including the European Patent Office, Holcim and Trumpf. The company’s digital product solutions offer hardware manufacturers, dealers and electricians a central platform that covers the entire range of applications – from installation to daily operation – and is compatible with over 250 wallboxes. Strong partnerships with leading players in the e-mobility ecosystem have also supported the company’s rapid growth, such as the recently announced partnerships with Schneider Electric and Zaptec, which aim to offer a joint product solution with preconfigured reev software. A similar model was already developed in 2020 with hardware manufacturer ABL and has been successfully establishing itself on the market ever since. The company reev is gaining new customers for its hardware-independent software platform every day, demonstrating the scalable growth potential that lies hidden here.

“The additional capital from the Series A financing round will primarily be used to expand the company’s position as market leader in the DACH region and to open up new markets, including France and the Benelux countries (Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands). New innovative products will also be added to the portfolio to meet the growing demand for smart energy distribution and grid-supportive charging and to enable our customers to easily expand their charging infrastructure. We are delighted to partner with two outstanding investors from the sustainability sector, who also have highly relevant networks and proven scaling capabilities to realize our ambitions in Europe,” explains Eduard Schlutius, founder and CEO of reev.
