Wireless Charging for E-Vehicles – no fuss, just park and charge As of today, there are hundreds of thousands electrical vehicles on the road. And there is lot of user experience, positive and negative when it comes to charging. Automated charging, while the car has been parked automated, is a must. Bidirectional energy transfer is in all people’s mind, especially for those who manage their private energy consumption. And last but not least a standardized product is mandatory for car makers. All these requirements can be fulfilled with a standardized wireless charging system for EVs. Imagine a vehicle is automated parked for charging, then the charging event must be automated too. In contrary, none will park and plug in a charging cable just in case the energy is expensive and so there is a good chance to sell electricity to the energy provider. Instead, once a vehicle is stopped above a wireless charger, it can work in both directions, just depending on the SOC and on the market price. Recent surveys resulted in a consumers demand to automize the charging procedure for occasional charging, just to charge where the vehicle has been stopped for a while, for some minutes or some hours. according to the needs of the vehicle and the actual demand of the grid. Wireless EV charging has come out from the childhood, the system is robust, has been certified for all main markets, is price competitive, is free of abrasion and has reached a final stage in the standardization process. Various system suppliers of wireless charging systems, such as BRUSA Elektronik AG, will soon launch market ready systems, which are interoperable and affordable.
