GWM’s second coup: The ORA 07 rolls onto the German market

The Chinese manufacturer Greta Wall Motor (GWM) has just made headlines with the announcement of the closure of its European headquarters in Munich. Almost at the same time, the company announced its intention to expand its presence on the German market with the ORA 07 – after the GWM ORA 03. The sporty saloon can now be ordered at list prices starting from 41,990 euros. The 4.87 meter long hatchback, which is somewhat similar to the Porsche Panamera, is available in the Pure, Pro and GT equipment lines. The ORA 07 is available with two drive variants: The front-wheel drive Pure and Pro models have a 67 kWh battery (gross) with a combined range of 440 km. A 150 kW (204 hp) and 340 Nm permanently excited synchronous motor provides plenty of propulsion. The all-wheel drive version has two permanently excited synchronous motors, each with 150 kW (204 hp) and 340 Nm of torque – on the front and rear axles – and allows the sporty mid-range saloon in its GT version with a total system output of 408 hp and 680 Nm of torque to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. Thanks to the larger battery (86 kWh gross), the sports car has a combined range of 520 km. Charging at a fast charging station with the 67 kWh battery takes 36 minutes until the battery is charged to 80%. The charging time for an ORA 07 with an 86 kWh battery is 43 minutes. As with the ORA 03, the ORA 07 is also equipped with the Type 2 charging standard for AC charging and CCS for DC charging.
