Daimler Truck CEO: Karin Rådström succeeds Martin Daum

The Supervisory Board of Daimler Truck Holding AG has appointed Karin Rådström as the company’s new CEO as of October 1, 2024 and she will be appointed in this role until January 31, 2029. She succeeds Martin Daum, who will step down as CEO on September 30, 2024, paving the way for the next chapter of the Group’s transformation. Martin Daum will remain a full member of the Executive Board until December 31, 2024, thereby supporting a smooth transition.

Rådström joined the board of Daimler Truck in 2021 and has been responsible for Mercedes-Benz Trucks since then. Within a very short time, the qualified engineers successfully increased the segment’s profitability and drove the transformation towards sustainability. With vision and entrepreneurial spirit, she introduced a series of new battery-electric trucks while driving customer focus together with her team, resulting in improved service offerings and higher customer satisfaction. Before joining Daimler Truck, she was a board member at Scania and headed up Sales & Marketing. She previously held the position of Senior Vice President, Head of Buses & Coaches at her former employer.
