Mega order for Volvo Trucks: logistics company DSV orders 300 electric trucks

Volvo Trucks and the global logistics company DSV have signed a cooperation agreement for 300 heavy-duty electric trucks. This represents one of Volvo’s largest orders for electric trucks to date. The new trucks to be delivered to DSV include the new Volvo FH Aero Electric, which is even more energy efficient thanks to its improved aerodynamics. DSV is the Volvo Group’s largest freight transporter and already has Volvo electric trucks in its fleet. These trucks are used in Sweden and Denmark. In both countries, DSV has set up a charging infrastructure at its distribution centers that is powered by electricity from solar panels. The company plans to have 2000 electric trucks in its fleet by 2030. With this order, DSV will have one of the largest company fleets of heavy electric trucks in Europe. The agreement also includes 500 Volvo trucks with particularly economical diesel and gas drives. All trucks are to be delivered between 2024 and 2026.
