Kia has announced the prices and equipment details for its all-electric compact SUV EV3, which is technologically based on the EV9. Its range of up to 605 kilometers is at the top of its class, as are the luggage compartment volume (460 liters) and the amount of space. In addition, there are high-tech elements from the digital car key to preparation for intelligent bidirectional charging, an interior with many sustainable materials and practical benefits such as the option of towing a trailer. The front-wheel drive E-SUV with 150 kW (240 PS) and comprehensive standard equipment can be ordered now, is available with two battery variants (58.3 and 81.4 kWh) and in three versions – Air, Earth and GT-line – and will be delivered to dealers from the end of this year. Prices start at 35,990 euros for the model with a standard battery and 41,390 euros for the long-distance version. It will be produced at AutoLand Gwangmyeong, Korea’s first dedicated electric vehicle plant. The 7-year Kia manufacturer’s warranty covers not only the vehicle but also the traction battery. This means that the EV3 has one of the most comprehensive manufacturer warranties for electric cars in Europe.
Early booking benefits for the market launch
Private customers who order the EV3 by December 31 of this year will receive various additional benefits. These include a two-year premium mobility guarantee, which includes a direct number to call in the event of a breakdown, an adequate replacement car and increased daily rates for hotel accommodation. There are also discounts on the Kia Charge charging service, such as the elimination of the basic fee for the Advanced tariff and the Aral Pulse Light package.
